SMAS LIFTING
The SMAS facelift is an advanced facelift technique that specifically addresses the lower two-thirds of the face area. By targeting the supporting layers of facial tissues, SMAS face lift can achieve effective and long-lasting facial rejuvenation results.
The superficial muscular fascial system (SMAS) is one of the most important facial support structures. It consists of a layer of tissue formed in the deep inner layers of the skin. Dr. Eren can achieve beautiful, natural-looking results that take years off your appearance by treating the SMAS layer during a facelift.
The SMAS facelift is an effective way to correct the loss of elasticity of the skin in the SMAS membrane, which often causes sagging cheeks, chins and the appearance of a double chin. During the procedure, muscles are tightened and excess skin and fat are removed to treat the following signs of aging:
-
hollow cheeks
-
sagging in the middle of your face
-
saggy cheek oil
-
Nasolabial folds (lines that run from your nose to the corners of your mouth)
-
Loose skin and fat on the chin and under the chin
-
Tickles in the neck area
You may experience mild bruising and discomfort after your SMAS facelift. This will gradually decrease over the first two weeks of your recovery.
Most people can resume their normal activities and return to work within 2 weeks. However, you will need to wait until you have fully recovered to resume strenuous exercise.

The cosmetic surgeon also exfoliates less skin. Therefore, postoperative edema, hematoma and sensitivity disorders are less severe.
The risks of a "frozen" result are lower because this procedure only targets a few areas, not the entire face.
